Magnetic Stripe Cards
Card in both Low and High Corcivity stocks are available. Typically High Corcivity is determined by a black stripe while most low corcivity is a brown stripe….what's the difference: High coercivity is the type of magnetic stripe tape made up of magnetic particles that are not easily altered when introduced to a magnetic field. When high coercivity magnetic stripes come into contact with magnetic fields such as a magnetized screwdriver, the information on the stripe will be not affected, unlike low coercivity cards that will be subject to erasure. It is necessary to use an encoder specifically made for the stripe you are encoding, as both stripes are made up of very different material.

Proximity Cards
A contactless card whose presence and data can be sensed by an interface device not in physical contact with the card. Proximity card is a generic name for contact-less integrated circuit device used for security access or payment systems. It can refer to the older 125 khz devices or the newer 13.56 MHz contac-tless RFID cards, most commonly known as contact-less smart cards.
